I am a retired criminal investigator who spent 20 years as a sworn federal law enforcement officer. I made a living by ruining the careers of criminals and public corruptors. That’s what American taxpayers paid me to do for two decades.

At age 52, as I had promised myself 20 years earlier, I retired as soon as I was eligible and spent most of my time with my cat and two dogs. My purpose in life was to love and care for my pets. When that ended with their passing, I hoped to find a new purpose.

Then, I heard about Ed Shin and Chris Smith. Their story was covered by all the major media sources, yet it seemed incomplete. I found my new purpose: gather the scattered pieces of the story and let the truth be known.
